Back in 1989, I volunteered to handle the school-wide fund raising program for the elementary school my two daughters attended. This was the year before I started my professional fund raising career. The experience of handling the details for that school-wide sale made a lasting impression. From day one of my career I committed to helping volunteers maximize their fundraising efforts while minimizing the work required in accomplishing their goals. For the past 25 years I have tested many fund raising programs and now carry a comprehensive variety of programs that meet the needs of my customers. That customer list includes schools, church groups, civic groups, banks and businesses as well as individuals. Every customer has different circumstances involved in their fund raising needs. My job is to evaluate each customer’s situation and then help them determine the best solutions (fund raising program) that will maximize their profits. My success over the years indicates this philosophy of doing business is appreciated by my customers.
How long should I run a sale?
Most fund raising programs run for two weeks. This allows time for the seller to contact their friends and family. After two weeks most people get tired of asking people to buy?
When should I run a sale?
The best time to run a sale is around major pay periods – usually the 1st and 15th of the month. It is also helpful to avoid running a sale during long holiday breaks. These breaks cause the sale to lose momentum due to outside distractions.
Who is eligible to run a sale?
Anyone who needs to raise funds is eligible. I have helped individuals raise money to help pay expenses for family reunions. I also helped someone raise money to help pay for trip expenses to attend a competitive event. Any size school or church group can use my programs to raise needed funds.
